A psychiatric evaluation is a detailed process of collecting relevant psychological, emotional, and behavioral information to accurately diagnose mental health conditions. This evaluation serves as the foundational step in developing a personalized treatment plan.

Your initial visit will include an extended appointment during which the evaluation takes place. During this time, our providers will thoroughly assess your symptoms, discuss your concerns, and begin building a plan for care. After the evaluation, a diagnosis is determined, and if appropriate, medication may be prescribed. We’ll also explain how the medication works, what it’s intended to do, and any possible side effects.

If medication treatment is started or adjusted, we usually schedule a follow-up visit. These visits allow us to monitor progress, make any needed changes, and support you throughout your mental health journey.
